Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. Mix well.
  2. Pour the mixture into a large ziplock bag or keep it in the bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  3. For the next 10 days, handle the starter according to the following instructions:
  4. Day 1: Do nothing.
  5. Day 2: Mash the bag or stir the mixture if in a bowl.
  6. Day 3: Mash the bag or stir the mixture if in a bowl.
  7. Day 4: Mash the bag or stir the mixture if in a bowl.
  8. Day 5: Mash the bag or stir the mixture if in a bowl.
  9. Day 6: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. Mix well.
  10. Day 7: Mash the bag or stir the mixture if in a bowl.
  11. Day 8: Mash the bag or stir the mixture if in a bowl.
  12. Day 9: Mash the bag or stir the mixture if in a bowl.
  13. Day 10: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. Mix well. Your starter is now ready to use.
