Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup water
  • 3 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  2. 2. Gradually add the water and oil, mixing until the dough comes together.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
  5. 5. On a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle.
  6. 6. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla for about 1 minute on each side or until lightly browned.
  7. 7. Keep tortillas warm in a clean kitchen towel until ready to serve.
