Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 lb rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Add Italian sausage to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through.
  6. Stir in marinara sauce, dried oregano, and dried basil. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. In a large bowl, combine cooked rigatoni and sausage mixture. Mix well.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
