Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries

Topping

  • ½ cup sugar
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup butter cold

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Fold in the blueberries.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  6. For the topping, combine the sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the batter.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
