Camp David Spaghetti with Italian Sausage

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage sliced
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 jar marinara sauce 24 oz
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 2 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
4. Add sliced Italian sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
5. Pour in marinara sauce, stir well, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
7. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce.
8. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.
