Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup water

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and water.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
