Ingredients

  • 2 lbs clams cleaned
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14 oz
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant.
  3. 3. Pour in white wine and bring to a simmer.
  4. 4. Add diced tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Add clams, cover the pot, and cook until clams open, about 10 minutes.
  6. 6. Discard any clams that do not open.
  7. 7. Stir in chopped parsley, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. 8. Serve hot with crusty bread.
