- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 Egg
- 8 Hot dogs
- as needed Vegetable oil for frying
Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in milk and egg until smooth.
Insert wooden skewers into hot dogs.
Dip hot dogs into the batter, coating them evenly.
Fry the coated hot dogs in the hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
