Ingredients 

Choux Pastry

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs

Vanilla Cream Filling

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, bring butter, water, and salt to a boil.
  3. Add flour all at once and stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
  8. For the filling, whip heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  9. Cut puffs in half and fill with whipped cream.
