Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs Ground pork
- 1 cup Onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Ground allspice
1. In a large pot, combine the ground pork, onion, milk, water, salt, pepper, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and ground allspice.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
3. Once the mixture has thickened, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
4. Transfer the mixture to a food processor and pulse until smooth.
5. Pack the cretons into containers and refrigerate until firm. Serve chilled.
