Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 lemon Lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions 

  1. Wash and trim the figs, then cut them into quarters.
  2. In a large pot, combine the figs, sugar, lemon juice, and water.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 45 minutes, or until thickened.
  5. Pour the hot preserves into sterilized jars and seal.
