Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar for caramel
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the sugar until golden. Pour into a baking dish and swirl to coat the bottom.
  3. In a blender, combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the milk mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
  5. Place the baking dish in a larger pan. Fill the larger pan with hot water to reach halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the flan is set.
  7. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
