Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina, warm water, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
2. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into balls.
3. Flatten each ball into a thick disk.
4. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
5. Fry the gorditas until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite fillings.
