Hot Brown Recipe
A classic open-faced sandwich originally from Louisville, Kentucky.

Main Ingredients
- 8 slices Bread toasted
- 1 lb Turkey sliced
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup Flour
- 2 cups Milk
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese grated
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
- 8 slices Tomato
- 8 slices Bacon cooked
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, melt the butter and whisk in the flour to make a roux. Cook for a minute.
Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the sauce thickens. Stir in the Parmesan and Cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
Place the toasted bread slices in a baking dish. Top each slice with turkey and tomato slices.
Pour the cheese sauce over the turkey and tomatoes. Place the dish in the oven and bake until the sauce is bubbly and golden brown, about 20 minutes.
Top each sandwich with two slices of cooked bacon and serve hot.
