  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon anisette liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the anisette liqueur and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until firm and golden at the edges.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
