- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk warm
- 2 teaspoon yeast active dry
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 units eggs large
Eggnog Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoon eggnog
1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
2. Add sugar, salt, butter, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased baking pan.
6. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and eggnog until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread.
