Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 800 g Canned Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add canned tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir well.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Use an immersion blender to smooth the sauce if desired.
  7. Serve hot over pasta or use as a base for other dishes.
