  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  5. Shape the dough into small S shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack.
