Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage mild or spicy
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. 5. Stir in diced tomatoes, oregano, and basil. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
