Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb Italian sausage cut into pieces
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cans crushed tomatoes 28 oz each
- 1 can tomato paste 6 oz
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup water
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sausage and ground beef, cook until browned.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cook until softened.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Add water, bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
