Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons brewer's yeast

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add water, flaxseed meal, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and brewer's yeast.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool on a wire rack.
