Ingredients

  • 10 pieces Egg yolks
  • 1 can Condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1 can Evaporated milk (12 oz)
  • 1 cup Sugar for caramel
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Pour the caramel into the llanera or baking dish.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. 3. Pour the mixture into the caramel-lined llanera or baking dish.
  4. 4. Cover the llanera with aluminum foil and steam for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. 5. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  6. 6. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan, invert onto a plate, and enjoy!
