  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • cup lukewarm milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup pearl sugar

Instructions 

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center and add the eggs and yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add the melted butter, mixing until the dough is smooth. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron. Gently fold the pearl sugar into the dough.
  5. Scoop about ¼ cup of dough onto the preheated waffle iron. Cook until golden brown and caramelized, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
