Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- ⅓ cup lukewarm milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup pearl sugar
In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center and add the eggs and yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
Gradually add the melted butter, mixing until the dough is smooth. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
Preheat your waffle iron. Gently fold the pearl sugar into the dough.
Scoop about ¼ cup of dough onto the preheated waffle iron. Cook until golden brown and caramelized, about 3-5 minutes.
Serve warm and enjoy!
