Ingredients 

Macaron Shells

  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 1.5 cups Powdered sugar
  • 3 units Egg whites at room temperature
  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt

Filling

  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon Heavy cream

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites until well combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Let the piped batter sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes. Let cool completely before removing from the baking sheet.
  8. For the filling, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Beat until smooth.
  9. Sandwich the filling between two macaron shells. Enjoy!
