Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 lb Ground Pork
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
  • 6 oz Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef and pork over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Return the meat to the pot. Pour in the red wine and let it simmer until the liquid is mostly evaporated.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
  5. Season with dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
