  • 2 ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 2 pieces. Roll each piece into a pizza crust.
  6. 6. Place the crusts on a baking sheet, add your favorite toppings, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
