Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning
  • 4 French Rolls split and toasted
  • 1 cup Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 Tomato sliced
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Hot Sauce

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the buttermilk and shrimp. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. In another bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, and Cajun seasoning.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Dredge the shrimp in the cornmeal mixture and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. 5. Mix the mayonnaise and hot sauce to make the sauce.
  6. 6. Assemble the sandwiches: spread the sauce on the rolls, add the shrimp, lettuce, and tomato.
