Main Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg beaten
1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
2. Dissolve yeast in warm water with sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes.
3. Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Add yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
4. Divide dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape into a pretzel.
5. Place pretzels on a baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
