Sopa de Lima Recipe
A traditional Yucatecan soup made with chicken, lime, and crispy tortilla strips.

Main Ingredients
- 1 whole Chicken breast boneless, skinless
- 6 cups Chicken broth
- 2 whole Limes juiced
- 1 whole Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 whole Tomatoes chopped
- 1 whole Green bell pepper chopped
- 1 teaspoon Oregano dried
- 1 teaspoon Cumin ground
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 4 whole Corn tortillas cut into strips and fried
1. In a pot, cook the chicken breast in the chicken broth until fully cooked. Remove and shred the chicken.
2. In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, tomatoes, and green bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
3. Add the shredded chicken back into the pot along with the lime juice, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Serve the soup hot, garnished with crispy tortilla strips.
