Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef diced
  • 2 Potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 Carrot diced
  • 500 g Shortcrust Pastry ready-made or homemade
  • 1 Egg beaten, for glaze
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef, potatoes, onion, and carrot. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roll out the pastry and cut into 4 equal circles.
  4. Place a portion of the filling onto one half of each pastry circle. Fold the other half over and seal the edges by crimping.
  5. Brush the pasties with beaten egg for a golden glaze.
  6. Place the pasties on a baking sheet and bake for 60 minutes, or until golden brown.
