Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops bone-in or boneless
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking dish.
  3. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the pork chops in the baking dish. Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until pork is cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite side dish.
